Performance Is More Than a Single Service-Life Number

A waterjet mixing tube is continuously exposed to high-velocity abrasive flow. In addition to operating hours, performance should be evaluated by whether bore wear remains uniform, kerf and compensation remain stable, replacement frequency is reduced and different production batches remain consistent.

Actual life is affected by operating pressure, abrasive type and flow rate, cutting material, installation condition and accidental impact. A meaningful comparison therefore requires similar dimensions and the same operating conditions.

How a Dense Material Structure Supports Wear Resistance

SwayHex uses a tungsten-carbide-based hard alloy and controls porosity and grain distribution through micro- and nanoscale material engineering plus pressure-assisted pulsed-current sintering. High hardness resists abrasive erosion, while strength and impact toughness help the nozzle withstand continuous high-pressure operation.

A more uniform material structure also makes wear progression more predictable, helping users establish and reuse stable cutting-compensation data.

Move From Purchase Price to Cost per Cutting Hour

A lower purchase price does not necessarily mean a lower total cost. Purchase price, actual service life, replacement downtime, setup losses and cutting stability should all be included in the same calculation.

Based on long-term development and comparison tests, SwayHex nozzles can match—and in selected conditions exceed—the service life of imported mixing tubes when the machine, dimensions and application are properly matched. The target is to reduce nozzle operating cost by more than 35%. Final results should always be verified under the customer's real production conditions.

  • Purchase cost per nozzle
  • Effective cutting hours
  • Replacement and downtime cost
  • Hidden losses caused by accuracy variation

Trial First, Then Decide With Data

For a customer's cutting application, SwayHex can provide one or two samples for validation. Payment is collected after the agreed service life is achieved; if it is not achieved, the sample fee is waived, excluding abnormal damage such as accidental breakage.

For accurate selection, provide the machine brand, current nozzle size, operating pressure, abrasive, cutting material and typical working conditions. SwayHex also supports OEM manufacturing and custom non-standard dimensions.
